Singer-songwriter Chris White will perform an afternoon or evening concert for you and your guests in your home or any other location of your choice. Chris is known for his witty, touching songs and his engaging stage presence, and his concerts feature lots of variety, participation and laughter!  Concert date to be arranged.

Chris is a songwriter, performer, teacher, choir director and radio host who loves connecting people with music and with one another. His well-crafted, uplifting songs range in style from contemplative to hilarious. Chris co-founded the Ottawa Folk Festival in 1993 and programmed it for 16 years. He hosts "Canadian Spaces" on Saturday mornings on CKCU 93.1 FM and www.ckcufm.com – Canada's longest-running folk radio program. He leads weekly singing groups for people of all ages and abilities, including home-schooled children, retirees and people with dementia. He has released two albums – "Inner Voice" and "I'm a Poet... and I'm Aware of It" – and is currently recording a collection of children's songs. His parents, Bill and Vivian White, were community leaders who helped found the Don Heights Unitarian Congregation in Scarborough. Chris received the 2012 Helen Verger Award for his "significant, sustained contributions to folk music in Canada".
